Hello! My name is Juli, and I’m the designer and sewist behind Sewing Pattern Society. I was born and raised in Hawaii and now live in the SF bay area with my fiance. 

My sewing journey started over 20 years ago when my mom enrolled me in two summer sewing classes during elementary school: a hand sewing class where we made teddy bears and a machine sewing class focused on fashion. I immediately fell in love with sewing, and for years after I filled notebooks with fashion sketches, spent hours playing fashion video games (does anyone remember Designer’s World from the 2000s??), and never missed an episode of Project Runway that I could catch on tv...
